Café LouvreGet to know Prague through cafés worth discovering.
Sometimes you want a good espresso. Sometimes a long breakfast, a quiet courtyard, or a reason to get off one stop early. Prague Cafe helps you find that place.
Cafés are one way to get to know Prague. Small espresso bars in Vršovice, neighbourhood spots in Letná and grand cafés by the river. Each area has its own rhythm, and coffee is a good reason to become part of it for a while.
That’s why we’re building this guide. A clear map, a selection of real places and a few useful details to help you choose. Save your favourites and pick up where you left off next time.
How we choose places
We look for places with something to offer: coffee, atmosphere, their own baking, or a role in neighbourhood life. We check venue websites and coffee guides, and keep expanding the selection. This is a growing guide, rather than a ranking or reviews based on personal visits to every venue.
Simple, without an account
Open the guide and start exploring without an account. Saved and visited cafés stay in this browser. Sign in optionally to keep them in sync across devices. Check the café’s own website for its current menu.

About this service
Prague Cafe is a guide to Prague’s cafés. Browsing and saving work without an account. An optional account enables sync across devices. The service accepts no payments and does not offer reservations.
Café information
Descriptions and addresses come from venue websites and coffee guides. Menus, opening hours and venue operations may change. Check current information with the café before visiting. Individual venues are responsible for their own services.
Saved places and browser storage
Without signing in, saved cafés are stored in this browser under prague-cafe-saved and visited places under prague-cafe-visited. They remain until removed or website data is cleared.
When you choose to sign in, Supabase processes your email, account ID and saved and visited cafés for authentication and sync. The database is in Frankfurt (EU). Records are private. The browser also stores your session, local copy and pending changes. You can delete your account and cloud records in account settings; the current local list remains in your browser.
Café tips and news by email
Prague Cafe newsletter emails are optional and separate from sign-in and analytics consent. After email confirmation, we record your preference, the time of the change, the consent wording and its language. You can change your choice in account settings anytime. Signing in does not by itself mean subscribing. If you open the sign-in link in a different browser or device, enable emails in account settings. Every newsletter will include an unsubscribe option.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics 4 loads only after you consent to analytics cookies. We measure visits to pages and café profiles; we do not send your email, private list names or search terms. Advertising features are disabled. Without consent, Google Analytics does not load and we send no analytics requests to Google.
We remember acceptance or rejection for 180 days in local storage under prague-cafe-consent-v1. Analytics cookies _ga and _ga_* may be stored for up to 180 days. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. On withdrawal we stop measurement, delete accessible analytics cookies and reload the page. This does not automatically remove data already sent.
Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. The service processes information such as a browser identifier, page visits and technical device data; data may be transferred outside the EEA under Google’s terms. See Google’s privacy information for details.
We retain user and event data in Google Analytics for 2 months without extending retention on new activity. Aggregated statistics may be retained longer. Optional analytics is based on your consent.
Maps and external services
Map data is loaded from OpenFreeMap. When the map loads, its provider receives the technical data needed to serve the request, such as your IP address and requested map tiles. That service’s own privacy information applies. Fonts and photographs in our selection are served by this website.
The web server processes technical data needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address, request time and requested URL. The scope and retention of operational logs for the public version will be specified before launch.
Your location
We request your location only after you press the location button and your browser grants permission. Coordinates are used to mark your position and centre the map. The app does not store them in its own database; requested tiles may indicate the viewed area to the map provider. You can revoke permission in your browser settings at any time.
Links and sharing
Links to café websites, directions and other external pages open third-party services. Their providers’ policies apply once opened. The share feature passes a link only to your device’s share menu or clipboard, according to your choice.
Intellectual property
Venue names, brands and photographs belong to their respective rights holders. Inclusion in this guide does not imply a partnership or transfer rights for further use. We keep records of information and photo sources for each venue.
Operator and contact
Prague Cafe is created by Jiří Šilha. For questions about the service or requests concerning personal data, contact [email protected]. Depending on the circumstances, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. You can also complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time in Cookie settings.
